MAULBEER PAPER: THE LIGHTLY TEXTURED, HAND-MADE PAPER

Are you looking for handmade paper that is easy to tear? Then mulberry paper from Etter-Art-Paperworld is the right paper for you.

Mulberry papers are torn rather than cut, which produces an interesting jagged edge. The best way to tear it is to moisten the paper in the desired places, for example with a spray bottle, and then tear it along these lines.

In our Etter Art Shop, you will find mulberry papers with embossed patterns, for example graphic patterns or patterns inspired by nature. We also offer leather-look papers and papers with incorporated teak leaves. These leaves have been treated so they don't break easily. They are soft and supple, so you can also use these mulberry papers in your art.

The paper mulberry plant grows low to the ground, and its leaves and thin bark make for excellent paper. This is due to its characteristic flaky structure, which has been used for centuries in paper production. Mulberry fibres are softer and looser than the pulp of ordinary paper trees, which makes the paper flexible and dense at the same time. It also gives it a light texture with visible plant fibres. Mulberry paper is also known as kozo paper.

Are you looking for paper with natural, irregular and interestingly jagged edges? Then mulberry paper is the right choice for you.
