Cell-Base Pigment PasteCelll-Base is our latest development, an extraordinary and innovative concept for resin art. Cell-Base is paint and cell-creator in one: a medium that is already pigmented and creates incredible effects when you use it correctly.Cell-Base creates completely new possibilities for artistic work with resins.Important facts about Cell-BaseWe developed Cell-Base for the Eli-Chem resin MASTERCAST 1-2-1. In terms of viscosity, density and curing behavior, this resin is ideally suited for working with Cell-Base. If you want to use a different resin, you may get different effects. Pigment pastes are best suited as colorants for the upper layer(s) (for more on layers, see the "Application" section; e.g. Eli-Chem resi-TINT MAX). Acrylic paints or inks and pigment powders are not as suitable. Metallic pigments should not be used together with Cell-Base on your artwork.Cell-Base is well suited for dirty-pouring projects.Application of Cell-Base Mix clear resin. Pour some into a mixing cup, then add up to 10% Cell-Base. Stir well. Add the other part to one or more mixing cups to which you have previously added the colorant(s). Stir well. The colorant(s) should stand out clearly from the Cell-Base color. Pour the resin-cell-base mixture onto your painting base. This is the base layer and since Cell-Base is pigmented, you will have a colored layer of resin directly on the base. Immediately pour the normally colored resin on top of the base. This layer should be thinner than the base layer. Then, without waiting, spread the top layer of resin over the bottom layer, for example, with a palette knife; this technique is called the swipe technique. You can observe how cells form immediately. Additionally, draw lines with a chopstick using the normally colored resin if you like - you will also use this to shape your painting base and more cells will form. Wait 30-60 seconds and give the cells this time to grow and develop. Then change those cells if you like. Work with a hot air dryer to coax out more cells. Do not set the heat too high, this will destroy the cells.Application for Dirty-Pour Style:Mix resin with Cell-Base (add up to 10% Cell-Base). Pour this mixture onto the painting base. Immediately afterwards, pour normally colored Resin over it. Let the resin run free, do not intervene yet. Then take the hot air dryer and use it to push the top layer of resin over the bottom layer. You will see cell and cell forming in the process.Cell-Base is available in 10 colors in a 75 g jar.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
